The RoundUp

Silverware for Cabinet

Looking Forward

2 Wins for the 1s

The 1XI all but secured their ticket to T20 finals day with a huge victory over Cregagh at the Memorial ground Thursday night

After winning the toss and batting first they racked up a whopping 261-2 in their 20 overs as the ball disappeared more the David Copperfield

Ross Adair notched up his 3rd ton of the year finishing 134 off 53 balls, his 100 coming off just 39 balls with 13 sixes and 12 fours

Doc and Keith also scored 50s in 25 and 18 balls respectively with sixes all around the ground

In reply the Kids were Alright with AK and Carson sharing 5 wickets between them, Angus Farrell bowling well and Harry McKeown excellent in the field

Barring a defeat against North Down and a freakishly large run rate swing the boys will be in the semi final mixer

A much tougher task was passed on Saturday away at Woodvale

In what felt like a force 9 gale, and with the soundtrack of band parades all around the boys won by 49 runs

Batting first, regular wickets threatened to dampen hopes of a winning total but 40s from Matchy and Keith, followed by the knock of the day from Jack Beattie 71 got the team up to 248

A first senior 50 for JB who scored at more than a run a ball

The prospects looked bleak as Woodvale advanced to 143-2 with Pretorius eyeing up a hundred on 96, but KD and skipper Jones combined to remove him

Keith inducing the edge, well caught by Nigel above his head at slip

After that pressure, regular wickets and super fielding resulted in a hard fought win and the points making their way back to BT4

We sit second in the table, just 1 win behind leaders Lisburn

First Trophy Of the Year

Friday past the U13s beat Cliftonville-Academy to win the Development Cup, bringing the first piece of silverware to Belmont this year. Congratulations to them all!

The team has used over 40 players and has had a really focus on getting everyone an opportunity, so a trophy is fantastic reward for all their efforts

2 Finals This Week

Belmont is hosting 2 finals this week, and not only that there is a CI team in both of them

On Wednesday the 2s take on Lisburn to win the T20 Plate

Then on Friday it’s the Graham Cup final between our U15s and our neighbours CSNI, both teams brimming with talented youngsters

We will need full and raucous support in full voice on both nights, we know you wont let us down!

We are hoping the bar will be open early, and on Friday the BBQ & tuck shop will be running too
