CIYMS vs CSNI
This Friday the 1XI take on CSNI in the NCU showpiece final
It is always a fantastic final, and a great occasion in the local sporting summer
A tough task awaits Nigel and his team, but it’s a competition they thoroughly enjoy
Tickets can be purchased online via the link below, or on the day at the ground
£8 online for Adults
£10 on the gate
Under 16s go for free
We sadly have no control over the prices as this is an NCU event
With Juniors going for free we would love to see a huge turnout from all our youngsters, supporting and cheering on some of the guys who have coached them through the season
It is a huge day for the club and we need to see plenty of CI colours around the boundary, so make sure to wear some Blue and Black
For former Presidents, Treasurers & Office Holders we would encourage to wear a CIYMS tie if you have one
There a bar facilities at the ground, and usually hot food, coffees, ice creams as well
History Makers!
On Sunday the 1XI became the first CI team to make it to the Irish Cup final in our club’s history
Away at Phoenix they triumphed by 6 wickets in a rain shortened game to secure their spot in the All Ireland final
John Matchett continued his burgeoning romance with the Cup, top scoring with 55 and taking 3 crucial wickets in the first innings
Phoenix posting 116-9 in their 25 overs, 2 wickets a piece for Allen Coulter on his return from injury and 2 for Keith. The target chased it down in the 21st of the reply for the loss of 4 wickets
The final is scheduled for Saturday 27th August at Bready Cricket Club, Magheramason on the banks of the Foyle
We will face up against Lisburn Cricket Club who defeated Clontarf in the other semi final
