CIYMS Cricket Club’s Carson McCullough has been selected for Ireland’s Under 15 winter training squad.
Thanks to a string of strong performances and continued dedication, our Under 15’s standout has been asked to join up with the rest of the NCU and Ireland’s cricket elite.
Ireland Under-15’s Head Coach, Brian Allen, said:
“We are blessed with another exciting group of cricketers and we’re looking forward to getting everyone together and getting underway. Helping these players make positive strides to reach their cricketing goals is something we revel in and I’m aware there’s a good mix of characters in this squad who are more than capable of the challenge.”
Carson was a key asset in the CIYMS Under 13 squad that managed to secure the John Memorial Trophy in 2018 for the first time in the club’s history. With an impressive batting performance in the final, Carson is no stranger to the high-pressure conditions of top-level cricket.
Ireland Under-15’s also had a successful 2018, including victories over Scotland, Jersey and Berkshire. Fixtures for their upcoming season are in the process of being finalised and are set to be released in early 2019.
From everyone at CIYMS Cricket Club, we wish Carson all the best.
