Last season, our Under 13 squad managed to secure the elusive John Memorial Trophy the first time in the club’s history, beating out CSNI in the final. CIYMS Cricket club run a ten week Kwik Cricket programme on Friday evenings during the school summer term. Primary school kids are coached in the basics skills of the game in a fun and safe environment using plastic bats and balls on enclosed hockey pitches. Most of the coaching is in game format ensuring participation for all.
Complimenting this, years 6 & 7 pupils are also invited to traditional cricket training on Wednesday evenings (mid-April – mid-August) and are frequently selected to represent CIYMS Cricket Club in our Under 11 squad.
